The People You Train With Matter

At 306 Training Grounds, coaching matters. Every class is led by someone who pays attention, gives clear direction, and helps you move safely and confidently.

Our coaches work with beginners, experienced athletes, and everyone in between. They scale workouts, answer questions, and make sure you feel supported every time you walk through the door.

Jason Cain

Athletic Director and Owner

Jason Cain is the owner and head coach of 306 Training Grounds. He has spent decades as an athlete and coach across multiple disciplines, including CrossFit, Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, wrestling, and judo. His competitive background includes appearances at the CrossFit Games, national and international podium finishes in Olympic weightlifting, and qualification at the national level in powerlifting.

Jason’s coaching approach is shaped by experience on both sides of the training equation. He understands what it takes to push performance at a high level, but he also values longevity, movement quality, and consistency. At 306 Training Grounds, he works with beginners, experienced athletes, and people returning to training after time away, helping them build strength in a way that fits their lives.

Rebecca Winterhalt

Marketing Director and Owner

Rebecca Winterhalt is a co-owner and Marketing Director at 306 Training Grounds. She has a background in sport and fitness management, along with experience in nutrition, yoga, and coaching.

Rebecca’s approach to training is shaped by different stages of life. She played multiple sports growing up, spent years running long distance, and completed a half-marathon while five months pregnant. After having three kids, she looked for training that fit real life and could be done well within a focused one-hour window, which led her into CrossFit and, eventually, into helping build the gym community in Saskatoon.

She has competed as part of the 306 Regional Team and in figure competitions, but today her focus is on helping members train consistently and confidently, no matter where they are starting from.

The coaches take time to get to know you, and they're incredible at scaling every workout to your ability level, no matter where you are starting from. The atmosphere is supportive, and all you have to do is walk through the front door to know you'll get a great workout.  I've gained skill, strength, and confidence, but I've also gained friends.

From my very first call with Jason to the intro session with Rebecca, I felt supported every step of the way.  The team truly cares about helping you succeed... It made me excited to come back every day!  The coaches are excellent at scaling workouts to your level, and the results I've seen in such a short time have been life-changing for my health.
