Congratulations Shawn & Nichelle!
Every year, Jason and I award 2 members and award for being outstanding community leaders. This is not an easy task as we have a gym filled with amazing people. But, as the year goes on, a few individuals really stand out.
CLASSES CANCELLED - UPDATED
Due to the weather, we will be cancelling our afternoon/evening classes so that everyone can get home safely. Stay warm and stay safe out there.
UPDATE: We will re-open at 8:30am to allow time for the roads to clear.
Happy 14th Birthday 306!
Happy 14th Birthday 306!!
It’s hard to believe that it has been 14 years since we opened the gym. When I look back at the picture of our family in 2011, it sure does highlight how much time has actually passed. We were a young family, and we wanted something different for our lives. We wanted to share our passion for health, wellness and community. We wanted to be close to family as we raised our children, and we didn’t want to have the headaches of “big city” life. So, we bet on ourselves, moved to Saskatoon, and spent our entire life savings to open our little gym, CrossFit 306.
Just say YES!!
Just say YES!
I have a friend, and she has this rule: she has to say yes to opportunities (all of them). Okay, maybe not ALL opportunities, like join the Hell’s Angels or partake in dangerous or damaging activities, but you get where I am going with this.

We are excited to bring back bootcamps to our class line up. Starting on September 15th, Coach Kathee will welcome athletes and work with them to become the healthiest version that they can be. This class will run for 3 months and will encompass all aspects of wellness. We will focus on stamina, strength and overall better health.
Level Up Bootcamp with Coach Kathee
At CrossFit 306, we pride ourselves in meeting people where they are at so that they can become the healthiest versions of themselves. We offer a variety of group classes, a weightlifting program, a 6-week challenge and now we are excited to offer a 3-month Level Up Bootcamp with Coach Kathee.
Train for future you - they will be glad you did!
Do it for 60-, 70- or 80-year-old you.
I have been a part of the fitness industry for a long time now. We have had thousands of people walk through our doors over the years. There is usually a common theme – someone comes in because they want to get fitter, they used to be in better shape, life has been so busy, I have school, kids, work life…you get the picture.
One More Rep!
We are eager to announce One More Rep, our brand new CrossFit competition, on June 27th and 28th, 2025! Our goal is to bring back old-school head-to-head CrossFit competitions in Saskatchewan…
The Crossfit Open
t’s that time of year again; the Crossfit Open. Though most of us aren’t looking to qualify for the games or finish top of the leaderboard, the Open can be a good opportunity to create benchmarks for yourself and understand where you are in your personal CrossFit practice. As you continue to participate in the Open, you accumulate data that reflects where you are now and how that relates to your performance in previous years...
Get Outside!
As we are now within the depths of the coldest time of year, it is hard not to want to hibernate and remain indoors until it no longer requires 20 minutes of adding layers to step outside, even briefly. And though the thought of spending time outside right now is not appealing, actually doing it is far better than we anticipate, as there are many real science-backed benefits to doing so…
Consistency is key
We are officially 2 weeks into the New Year. You might find that your rather ambitious attempts at completely turning your life around might be starting to wear off. The New Year is a great time to set big goals, but if you go into it with too much pressure and expectations, you risk burnout and quitting all together.
So, what I find works best is consistency over time. It is the small actions and habits that will add up to the big results that you are looking for. So, instead of saying that you are going to come to the gym 6
Consistency Challenge 2025
January is traditionally the time where we re-set and set our goals for the year. Did you know that improving fitness ranks as a top goal for North Americans at 48% saying it’s a top priority and another 36% say that mental health tops the list. There are 55% of people that see both physical and mental health as equally important. Fun fact - CrossFit ticks both those boxes!
Holiday Season Wellness
The holiday season is approaching quickly, and with it, the influx of New Year goals, resolutions, and the concept of a “winter arc”. The concept is that one should overindulge in the month of December and then turn it all around in the new year so that one enters spring/summer as an “unrecognizable” version of yourself….
2024 Members of the year
Last night at our annual Christmas party, we continued our tradition of acknowledging two athletes. These members have demonstrated qualities of leadership, selflessness, and community engagement and have embodied our motto of “Community Above Else” with their actions. Last night’s winners were Claudia Weber-Marx and Elliott Procyshen. Please read below the speeches that were made in their honour.
